From birds to dogs we do it all! Bring in your pet and get a nail trim for only $10! Please call in advance to schedule an appointment with Jessica.

Water Testing

Having problems with your aquarium? Finding floaters every morning? Why not bring us a sample of your water, and we'll test it for you FREE of charge! We'll test the PH, GH, KH, Nitrates, Nitrites, Ammonia levels, Iron and Calcium to see just who's to blame. Our friendly staff will help you figure out what's wrong, and how to fix it.

Aquarium Cleaning Service

Want to enjoy your aquarium without the drawback of having to do the upkeep? No problem! That's what we're here for. Our aquarium service includes the following;

Water Changing
Gravel Vacuuming
Water Chemistry Testing
Cleaning of the inside and outside of tank
Changing of the filter media (if necessary)
Cleaning of the ornaments
Check food inventory
Add any necessary chemicals, trace elements or medications.

Pet Groomer, Jessica Coulombe, has now opened 4 Paws Dog Spa in The Artistic Hound!

Pets certainly know when they are clean and looking good. Well-groomed pets are happier, better behaved, healthier, and more outgoing. Just like all of us, they feel good when they look good. 4 Paws Dog Spa offers a complete line of fine grooming services to bring out the best of appearance and personality in any breed. Jessica works carefully, never rushing, and she does not overbook appointments. The preferred method to inquire about appointments is via email at grooming@theartistichound.com as Jessica will not always be available by phone and the staff at The Artistic Hound do not book appointments for her. There are many variables in pet grooming, such as whether your pet has long or short hair and also if the hair is matted and tangled. She sets individual prices for each pet, largely based on the time required to complete the service. Factors which determine the price of a service include:

Amount of scissor work
Brushing
Clipping
Degree of matting
Difficulty of the cut
Disposition of the animal
Drying time
Length of hair
Size of pet

Grooming includes:

Premium shampoos and fine conditioners
Blow dry
Full brushing out
Nail trimming
Ear cleaning
Hair cut

The following is a general pricing guideline and can change without notice. The factors mentioned above greatly affect the final price. Excessive matting will also result in a higher charge.

Grooming Breeds:

Small to Medium $55 to $70 (ie: Yorkies, Bichons, Shih-Tzus, Lhasas, Miniature Schnauzer,
Westies, Miniature Poodles, Cocker Spaniels)
Medium to Large $70 to $90 (ie: Springer Spaniels, Labradors, LabraDoodles, GoldenDoodles,
average sized Goldens, Huskies)
Large to Extra Large $90 and up (ie: Standard Poodles, Giant Schnauzers, Malamutes, Newfoundlanders)
