Water Testing

Having problems with your aquarium? Finding floaters every morning? Why not bring us a sample of your water, and we'll test it for you free of charge! We'll test the PH, GH, KH, Nitrates, Nitrites, Ammonia levels, Iron and Calcium to see just who's to blame. Our friendly staff will help you figure out what's wrong, and how to fix it.

Balloons, Balloons, and more Balloons

Having a party? Well, nothing makes your occasion special like a bouquet of balloons. We have the highest quality Qualetex latex balloons, as well as foil balloons, balloon weights, linking balloons, balloon drop bags, the helium to fill them, and everything else you need to make your party special, or simply bring a smile to a friend's face. Rates are $0.50 for a 9" balloon, and $1.00 for everything else. You won't find better prices anywhere else in Yellowknife!

DIATOM

Cloudy water in the fish tank, bud? The Diatom can clean that up for you in mere hours! You can take the Diatom home for $5/day, and let it clean your tank for you. After all, you bought an aquarium to relieve stress, not create more.

Small Animal/Fish Boarding

The staff of JJ Hobbies hate to see animals left alone while you're out of town, and we know that pet owners hate to do so. To help solve this incresingly common problem, we will now be boarding small animals and fish for a very minimal cost of $1/day. This price includes food, care and maintainence while you're away. Don't come home to a sad, starving(or worse) pet again. Let the staff of JJ Hobbies take a load off of your mind, and ours.
